Purpose of the Role
To direct the teachers and caregivers in implementing developmentally appropriate care and engagement for children and families in the aim of fulfilling our mission of seeing waves of people transformed by the love of God.
Job Responsibilities

Attend and when needed help lead monthly staff meetings and other mission-related meetings, trainings and events.
Supervise lesson plans, environments and teachers and hold them accountable to results of excellence.
Maintain environments conducive to learning and exploration and compliant with Paths to Quality and the lenses of parent, tour, child, state, ministry.
Supervise and train teachers through observations in classroom and structured workshops and trainings.
Maintain communication with parents about their classrooms through e-mails and verbal communications.
Monitor teacher-parent communications
Support teachers in monitoring children’s progress by documenting learning experiences and collecting portfolio entries.
Be prepared to answer questions concerning classroom purpose, curriculum themes, age-appropriate developmental milestones, and classroom schedules.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment according to instructions.
Report to parents any accidents, incidents, health concerns and transitions involving their child through accident/incident reports, phone calls, and/or face-to-face communication.
Conduct reviews of staff.
Offer opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s learning experience.
Address breaches of policy and procedure.
Maintain the privacy of each family by complying with the ‘standards of confidentiality’.
Be responsible for instructing Leads, Assistants and Substitutes of classroom etiquette and procedures.
Fill in for absent staff and do lunch breaks as needed while continuing to meet administrative deadlines.
Create weekly schedule for team in partnership with other Coordinators and publish each Wednesday for the following week.
Know and help maintain adherence for all policies and procedures.
Order and/or purchase supplies for center upon purchase request approval.
Share in opening and closing front desk duties.
Maintain the highest level of professionalism.
Work on and complete any tasks or projects delegated to you by the director.
Help create individual training plans for teachers in your assigned age group.
Understand that the job is not limited to these duties.
Requirements

Attend live workshops or trainings or do online trainings for a minimum of 20 training hours yearly.
A Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred.
Ensure your teachers have acquired the necessary skills to be promoted.
Ensure your assistant teachers and part-time assistants are developing skills and learning from their experience.
Connect with newly enrolled families after two (2) weeks of enrollment to ensure that we are meeting and exceeding goals and developments.
Support an increase in enrollment because of the level of excellence you adhere to and the culture of Christ-centered practice you maintain.
