My Background

Christy has had over a decade of childcare experience which began with her in-home daycare. She then transitioned to a position at a daycare facility when her youngest child began kindergarten; working with a variety of ages. Before she became an infant teacher at STEAM Academy Lafayette in the spring of 2020, she worked with infants and toddlers as a teacher at Dayspring. She's a proud mom of three young ladies with her first grandchild on the way.

Hobbies

Christy enjoys reading and walking as her ways to relax when she is away from STEAM. She spends her free time with her family. 

How would you descrie your teaching style?

Her teaching style is best described as being hands-on. Christy’s enrichment activities with her infant classes focused on the use of 5 senses to bring the children closer to the world they are now a part of.
